It rocked his world. If he doesn't have a problem with affection then I think he clearly likes you more than he will admit to. I would this is kinda a dangerous situation for you. Proceed with caution. Know yourself. I think I would have a hard time with a friend who I had such strong feelings for. He is most certainly for real. But he doesn't want to admit the truth to himself he just wants to have fun. If you can handle that then go with it and help him and yourself to work past the doubt to find a nice place. If you can't then I would stay friends and find someone who is further along in accepting themselves. Being at different spots in terms of coming out is a very common and difficult challenge for gay relationships.
