Is this an acceptable UK Salary Rate?

I know this question has been asked over and over again, but I'm going to try in any case. I've been offered a position in the UK (Milton Keynes) as a "Senior Web Graphic Designer/ Jnr. ASP.Net developer". They're willing to pay me �28000 per annum. I'm from South Africa, so it's difficult to know if this will allow me to have a comfortable lifestyle and be able to save a bit to take back home after a couple of years.
