Christians, do you believe God is a being or some kind of energy?

I'm very curious as to how you few God. Us humans have a tendency to personify things in order to relate to it better. But according to the bible, God spreads a enormous amount of energy throughout just our Earth, let alone the entire universe. The only way I can fathom the idea a God, is if he were to be some kind of energy that is buried deep within every one of us.
