Does Windows Vista prevent you from "moving" you whole system to a bigger Hard Drive like Windows XP did?

You still need all the software, including the OS installed correctly. For a desktop PC you could use Norton Ghost, transferring the image from one drive to the other. The only problem is that the new disk may be recognized as a new install, forcing you to re-activate. Be very cautious here, if anything else changes in the hardware it can fool the system into thinking you have tried to load it as a pirate copy and de-activate it.
